DaBaby’s Apology Over Homophobic Remarks Deleted From His Instagram Account

DaBaby appears to have deleted the apology he posted on Instagram following homophobic comments he made at a music festival two weeks ago.

At the Rolling Loud festival in Miami on July 25, DaBaby asked fans to shine their cell phone flashlights if they “didn’t show up today with HIV/AIDS, any sexually transmitted disease.” Any dangerous sex can kill you in two to three weeks. “He continued to make crude remarks about women and men.

When he later voiced his remarks, the rapper downplayed the comments insulting him, saying that his gay fans “don’t get HIV/AIDS” because they’re not. as “evil” or “addicts”.

After facing a lot of criticism, DaBaby posted its first apology on Twitter and then on Instagram.

In a July 27 tweet still posted to press time, he wrote: “Anyone who has been affected by AIDS/HIV has every right to be sad, what I said was insensitive even though I No intention to offend anyone. So I apologize. … But the LGBT community… I don’t support you, do I. y’all business is y’all business. “

But his longer statement, which he posted on Instagram on August 2, appears to have been deleted. In that statement, the rapper admitted that he “needs education” and guidance.

“Social media moves so fast that people want to bring you down before you have had a chance to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes,” he wrote. “As a man who had to find his way out of very difficult circumstances, having people I know openly turned against me – knowing that what I needed was education on these subjects and guidance – has is a challenge.”
