It’s official: The Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals are heading to the Super Bowl, which is expected to draw in a star-studded audience. The big game is on Sunday, February 13 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and although it’s the Rams’ home ground, they will be the away team for Super Bowl LVI.
Since the AFC and NFC convert to home and away teams for even and odd Super Bowls, the Bengals will be the Super Bowl hosts despite being from Cincinnati, not Los Angeles.
The Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in the NFC championship game, while the Bengals beat the Kansas City Chiefs 27-24 in the AFC championship game. The two championship teams last played each other in 2019, when the Rams beat the Bengals.
