Sebastian Stan Discusses Pam & Tommy’s “Sweet” Talking-Penis Scene – The Hollywood Reporter

Sebastian Stan is still questioning a certain talking spin-off in his recent Hulu series, Pam & Tommy.

During a visit to The Late Show on Friday, host Stephen Colbert asked about the show’s focus on Tommy Lee (Stan) and Pamela Anderson (Lily James). Specifically, Colbert wanted to know about a scene in the second episode, in which the drummer is high on drugs and talking to his penis, voiced by Jason Mantzoukas.

After Colbert expressed his apparent confusion that the scene existed, Stan quipped, “Man-to-man, I’m sure you can relate to that, right? I mean, there must have been a time or two when you could rely on an old friend for a few things, right? “

The actor went on to say that Lee’s 2004 book Tommyland featured the rocker’s penis as a character, and so the show’s writers intended the scene as an homage to that choice.

Stan continued: “It was actually a very sweet scene because it was a confession of love. “He realized he loved this woman, and he was telling his best friend. “Don’t let me down, man.”

Seth Rogen, co-star and executive producer of Pam & Tommysaid before The Hollywood Reporter that he suggested his friend Mantzoukas for the voiceover role because it seemed like a great fit. Rogen added at the time, “Honestly, there was no other option.”
