Spider-Man Meme Recreated by Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield

They really did it!

Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have recreated the classic animated meme Spider-Man, which appeared on social media Wednesday for the announcement of the 4K and digital release date of the Spider-Man. No Street Home.

“Of course we got the meme,” the official tweeted Spiderman movie account, along with the home video release date.

The ’60s cartoon meme was two Spider-Man pointing at each other in an episode featuring a villain posing as Spider-Man. The meme has been used over the years for a number of purposes, calling hypocrisy one of the most common. Sometimes the meme has three Spider-Man. There was a moment in No Street Home in which the three Spider-Man characters point at each other to pay homage to the meme, but not a perfect re-creation like the one posted Wednesday for the home release.

Needless to say, the meme was a huge hit, with over 10,000 retweets within minutes of being posted.

No Street Home won several awards and was nominated for the Best Visual Effects Oscar.
