‘Transplant’ Renewed for Season 2 at NBC

NBC is sticking with imports from Canada Transplant.

The network has refreshed the medical drama for a second season in the United States, with the news coming two days after the end of its broadcast on NBC. The home of the Canadian show, CTV, picked up the series for a second season in June after ending there.

Transplant premiered September 1 on NBC and gave the network decent ratings numbers as part of a patchwork fall lineup that didn’t see any of the network’s regular scripted series debut until the end of the month. 10. Initial broadcasts averaged around 5.7 million viewers and ratings of 0.7 among adults 18-49 with a week’s delay. The addition of digital and streaming platforms has brought the show to 7.7 million viewers per episode (since its premiere), and NBC says the show’s premiere has achieved ratings. 1.8 in the 18-49 demographic across all platforms.
